Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
