Former Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors have stated that a former physician now faces charges for committing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
